From miles and miles away, an Angel came to me today. He told me he’s paying me a visit, I was surprised for I didn’t expect it.

He sat on my window. Still are his gaze, lovely are his grin. But his wings I couldn’t see, for it’s just too much, his luminosity.

Yet somehow I feel safe. He emanate a feeling that no man can hate.

Enthralled by his presence, I invited him in. I told him I have nothing, just a bed to sleep in.

This Angel made himself comfortable. Took his time to stare at my phone on the table.

He looked at me, his hands pointing at his back. Then he asked, “Is the world you live there, masked?”

I shrugged at him and looked down. He gently sit beside me and noticed me frown.

“I would like to cheer. But to do so, I have to know your fears. Be afraid not of what lies deep within, just let it flow, we’ll let the light in.”

He held my hands and squeezed them tightly. “You’re a daughter of the universe and a creation of the Almighty.”

He looked me in the eye, I was a bit shy. He sensed it for sure. Still he uttered, “Worry not for love is the cure.”

“I know you are enveloped in sadness, but we should work together to stop this madness.”

I was a bit shocked and so I asked, “Do you truly think love will do the hack?”

“My dear”, he smiled at me, “it isn’t a trick. Love is the answer, it will change even the heart of the pricks.

“Loneliness, despair, threading alone and loosing everything: these are but a few, they’re all part of the process of you being new.

“But do not fear my dear, for I am here. What do you say? Do you think we can do this today?”

His smile is truly inviting, it cues me that this journey will be exciting.

He beseeched me to look within. A tear fell down, then another, until I can’t help but sob thereafter. Then I told this winged creature:

“Sometimes it’s painful. Don’t you see these Angel?”, I traced the cuts in my wrists, the fresh lacerations caused by my fits.

The pictures of deep stabs and gashing wounds are coming back! Crying; I told him, “It hurts, for always, others have to go first.”

“It ain’t easy, can’t you see? Pain you have to endure. It is patience, yourself you ensure.”

I buried myself on the palm of my hands and checked on my stance: “Still I understand, there’s nothing else that can get me through it but the same thing that I wrongly thought had caused it.”

“Love.” I looked up at him, devastated yet with a hope that burns within. “This moves everything. Brings out compassion, forgiveness, peace and understanding.”

I looked outside, past the bird’s nest straight ahead staring at nothingness. “I’m no expert in this, I fail at every tease. But I strongly believe, I learned just to live; that everything should start within me before I can pass it on to humanity.

“I reject this invalidation statement: ‘I can’t give what I don’t have’, for they say I am broken, shuttered, and unloved. But I don’t think I am any less stable of being the love I know am capable.”

I can feel his arms wrapped around me, his face buried on my head, his wings enveloping, protecting me. “Hush my dear, hush. Everything will be how it should be, even if we don’t rush.

“You have the power, one that can change things for the better. It’s called YOU, it will never ever falter. Work on helping yourself then the others, to find love & light and stay sober.

“You are beautiful my dear. You are a gift, a talent. Together, let’s make this happen!”

How could this be? For long I try to be…

Special; in the eyes of someone I put high on a pedestal.

But just with this Angel’s visit, I need not do anything but sit. Then I speak my mind and felt appreciated and not left behind.

Isn’t it a twist of fate? All love and no hate? Just with a simple message of belief; an Angel from another realm puts a smile on my face, lifts me up on my feet.

How could it not be love? If this is a commune set from up above?

Love did brought me down on my knees, sunken deep. Yet it’s the very same thing that washes away my tears, my self-doubt and fears.

He wiped my eyes then asked me to rise.

“I have planted you a seed, one that will bloom amidst the ground full of weeds. Nurture it more, and tomorrow do soar.”

He hugged me tight then stepped back. “You’ve been visited now, you’ll be just right on track. If ever you wander, look above and send me a little prayer.”

“Just like today, you can be sure I’d be rushing to you without delay.”

Then the Angel opened his wings. Came beaming a strong light, it was so bright I have to close my eyes. With one peaking, I said my goodbyes not whining, instead thanking and thinking that this could be a start to a path of happy endings.
